Refugee Love

As I sit on the cusp of my 40th birthday, in my safe home, with my healthy and happy 3 month old baby, my  heart is cracked open wide for these families around the world right now who are in major crisis.

I want to know what I can do to help in the immediate crisis, and also how to contribute to a longer term effort for refugees entering my own country, my own community.

I am in awe of the Love Bombers out there coming forth with creative citizen driven solutions, like these people offering their homes through the "Refugee Airbnb."

I also recognize that assistance of this magnitude requires intelligent, long term planning and support.

While there are many short term efforts to donate to (find resources listed here) I have decided to create a campaign to support efforts for assisting refugees entering my own country.  I will be donating 100% of profits from online viewings of Love Bomb to the  U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants for the month of September.

You can watch the film right here:

I would like to raise $1,000 dollars during this birthday month!

My deepest love is extended to the people seeking a safe place to lay their heads around the world.

To love we must go.

In love and gratitude,

Rhea
